The villagers have it rumored that the queen is partial to the demon that now holds the kingdom captive. The king himself does not trust him, but the queen will not hear such blasphemies against the poor, distraught demon that has invaded their castle of turmoil. The prince, princess, and even the mother of the king, have banished themselves from the castle walls. They have voluntarily removed themselves from this heinous situation. The entire village sees the damage being done by the demon, but rumors and whispers do little to stop the atrocities. The king has the power to send the demon in exile, but the queen... The queen will hear nothing of the sort. For the demon is a friend to her. He is a poor soul in need of comfort. After all, he came to them sick, and her pity is ever so great for him. She is mad; and has always been. There is indeed a shadow cast upon this drama-laden castle. We can ignore it, and be blind to it. Passing past the walls, noticing nothing out of the ordinary. For without the support of the queen, this demon is destined to destroy this den of inequity. To never waiver in the face of strife or opposition. To remain within these castle walls until there is a king, no more...
