Excerpt from "The Quite Uprising" a short story by: D. Hoover
The ground was cold and wet that early November morning. The trucks rode through like a thunderous herd of cattle. Tan and camouflage flashes sped by in a never-ending pattern; as the children stood outside on their porches, watching the parade roll by. The ninth infantry of the National Guard had their marching orders that day. Surround the little, American town. Maintain the peace, and above all, suppress the militia.
It has been three years since socialism ravished the American landscape. With the constitution translated into a full-out Marxist document, many mainstream Americans decided to hoard weapons and rise up against the federal bureaucracy.
Several small, organized militias sprung up all over the country, once again fighting for our freedom. With rumours of many states succeeding from the union, the fed’s only choice was police action against its citizens. The violence got out of control in many areas, but the government-controlled media kept manufacturing a steady stream of anti-militia propaganda to soften some of the bloodier riots. Echoes of Ruby Ridge and Waco were constant themes from the people who had simply had enough. The enemy was on our own soil, elected into office. Frankly this country is too large. Too many diverse opinions on how things should be run. Why not divide? Liberal wackos can screw up their lives and kids the way they want and the right wing nuts can do the same to theirs. Open trade between the two. This election has proved one thing, that we have moved toward violence against each other to get our point across or the voice heard. Who else does that? KKK, Black Panthers, Weather Underground, NeoNazis?
Secession is the key.
