Venting

     

     

     When I see someone wearing a mask alone in their car, or outside in the open, with no one else around, I draw one of two conclusions. Either they have no idea how viruses work, or they have fallen victim to the mass hysteria; thinking that this Ebola type virus is just hanging out in the open air. If you listen to the media this disease kills everyone it comes in contact with. At this point it is almost like believing you can get pregnant from sitting on a toilet seat. Fear totally overrides common sense. Throw rationality out the window and believe that this is a death sentence you can contract from merely breathing air. I am not a COVID denier. I know it's real. I also know that it effects the elderly and people with immunity issues more severely like all other viruses. I walk by the closed movie theaters and small businesses and think why is this happening? Walmart is doing fine. Amazon is in full force. If you have any sense of how viruses work you would stay away from people with fevers and obvious symptoms. Wash your hands and don't visit granny right now, but for God's sake stop acting like this is the plague. I am convinced that the death rates are extremely exaggerated. There are plenty of open beds and ventilators available. There is no need for tent cities and stadiums for the sick and dying COVID patients. Herd immunity is what happens with all viruses and this one should be no different. Turn off the news and think about it for a moment.
