Looking back on my wild youth, I was a reckless idiot playing with my life. I guess most of us were, but some awakened to the truth earlier than I did. I vowed never to play by society's rules. I was a free spirit; with no responsibilities, or expectations. Time and age has a way of breaking young stallions eventually. Innocuous actions then, have dire consequences in the here and now. I look back on my arrogant, defiant statements of living in a perpetual party life forever. This morning I sit utterly defeated; sipping tea within the quite constraints of conformity. My youth is dead, and with it has died all my insane dreams and fantasies of what life is supposed to be. It is time to surrender to the inevitable. I gave it a long, hard fight, but in the end, reality has won the day. Finally I have given in to all the things I said I would never do. Never say never... You will someday turn into that cantankerous old man yelling at the kids to get off his lawn. That day is swiftly approaching...

I completely understand where you are coming from. I woke up rather enlightened myself today as to who I have become and alarmingly I don't like her. It is time for a change and I mean a drastic one.
